We all love a good pamper session and what better place to do that then in a very special hotel like Ramside Hall Hotel.
Up until a couple of weeks ago I had never visited the Hotel. I had driven past it more times than I care to remember, but it was lovely to get an insight in to what goes on beyond the entrance on the A690.
Very excited to see what was on offer I was blown away when I pulled in. Such a large hotel complex and so many things to do.
The entrance to the Spa/Fusion is gorgeous and was all decorated ready for Christmas with Polar Bears and a Snow Theme running throughout.
The team were very attentive and we were given a talk and a guided tour from Jasmine the Membership Coordinator. As well as some lovely welcome drinks ….
The one thing that stood out for me from the chat we had was that Ramside Hall were the first Hotel in the country to offer treatments that are aimed specifically at Cancer patients. I really wanted to know more about this and asked Jasmine if she could go in to more detail and this is what I found out….
Ashleigh Lamb The Senior Therapist explained…..
“Upon working for Ramside, I have taken part in extensive training here at the spa, one of my courses being Wellness for Cancer. Our Wellness treatments are all tailored made to our guests by how they are feeling and the results they would like to achieve. The training involved passing numerous case studies before gaining a certificate, so our highly trained therapists are sure to personalise the perfect treatment for you.
The training consisted of completing online modules, each one lasted around 45minutes. We then watched clips from doctors and the Director of Wellness for Cancer to help us complete our online exams. The director, Julie Batch then came to the Spa and took us through a two day practical training course. We carried interactive practical activities to learn specialised massage techniques and how to incorporate them into our ESPA Massage and Facial treatments.”
I am sure you will agree that there is nothing more satisfying when you are feeling down, poorly and sore than a little bit of TLC. The SPA at Ramside with all their expertise is the perfect place to have this happen.
They offer a 45 min or 60 min body or facial treatment. These are completely personalised, depending on what kind of treatment or therapy the guests are going though.
They also offer our Mindful Touch package which includes:
Your Spa Day includes:
Welcome Smoothie drink on arrival
Use of spa facilities
A choice of 60 minute Face, Body or Nail* personalised wellness for cancer treatment
Choice of Two course Brunch, Lunch or Spa Afternoon tea with an Asian twist served in Fusion restaurant
Complimentary use of fluffy robes and spa flip flops
They offer such a wide range of packages to suit all. I was lucky enough to get to use the facilities and was sent to heaven and back. We took advantage of the Outdoor Pool, which in November, you would think would be a bit chilly but it was amazing with bubbles, lights and super hot water. The indoor pools were equally as impressive.
We also enjoyed the Sauna, Steam Rooms and Relaxation seating around the sides of the pools. Two hours was simply not enough time to enjoy every part and I am planning a return in the not too distant future.
The other aspect of the SPA at Ramside that we got to sample was the Fusion Restaurant. We all know how much I love my food and they simply did not disappoint.
Ramside describe the restaurant as follows….
“Fusion is all about fresh seasonal Asian inspired dishes, classic eastern favours, textures and produce. Light, fresh, delicious and an indulgent treat of the senses.”
We were treated to a selection of the dishes that Fusion offers including Sushi, Pad Thai, Chicken Satay, Spring Rolls, Dim Sum and so many more treats. Simply delicious…..one of our party had allergies and was presented with a platter for one and it was presented and looked amazing.
Like I say we will be looking to go back for my birthday as I would love to spend some time being pampered by the team. For more information about the SPA please visit the website. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
